We are good to go!
We have worked hard to adapt the site to make it ready for re-opening and we are delighted that now our whole site is able to re-open under the Welsh Government Guidelines. We have completed risk assessments across the site and made many changes some that you will see and others you wont.
What changes can you expect?
Beach Hut Cafe and Copperfish
At current only our outside seating is open and you will notice our tables are spread further apart. Following guidelines we will only be serving sachet condiments and our cutlery will no longer be self service. It has also been advised by the guidelines not to clear plates until customers have left so please don’t think we are ignoring you we are simply following the rules, of course if you would like them cleared please ask a member of staff. In addition to this all our staff have been trained on our extra hygiene practices including even more regular toilet sanitisation (every half hour) and a deep clean of all high contact surfaces. You will also notice we have screens in place in our Takeaway and Beach Hut Cafe to protect our staff and you. You may also notice a number of staff wearing Facemasks and we encourage the use of facemarks across our site although this is not mandatory. You will also notice new queuing areas and only one entrance and exit to our Beach Hut Cafe to ensure we can mange numbers effectively. In our Beach Hut Cafe we are serving a limited menu for the time being until we can successfully manage social distancing requirements in our Kitchen. Breakfast will only be served till 12.00pm. Our Copperfish Takeaway is currently operating a one in one out policy.
On arrival you will be asked to sanitise your hands, we will also have gloves available for those who wish to use them and we encourage the use of Face masks. Disposable Face masks are available for a small charge. You will also notice staff cleaning high contact areas often with a regular sanitisation schedule in place – we have placed a member of staff on each day whose sole jobs is to keep these places clean. We are also limiting the number of people in to the building at anyone time and to help monitor this we only have one entrance and exit open. We ask that all our customers help us and adhere to social distancing guidelines – of course signage is in place to help remind us all! Cleaning stations will be spotted around the site. We are also opening an hour later each day this will allow us extra time needed for a deep clean of all our equipment.
The Pier and fishing Platforms
These are both open now for you to enjoy and we ask that social distancing is adhered to. If for whatever reason we feel these aren’t being followed we may be forced to close the Pier.
Hand Sanitising Stations
Spot One! Use one! We have put a number of hand sanitisation station across Site please feel free to use these as much as you would like!
Track and Trace
In line with the Welsh Government regulations you will be asked to provide details when entering our venues, this is for use with NHS Track and Trace system and will not be used by us for any other reason. After 21 days this information will be destroyed. This is optional and you do not have to provide the information.
All of the above is just some of the changes we have put in place but we are constantly reviewing our practices so please be mindful of all our staff trying there best to ensure you enjoy your visit. We are also very keen to hear any suggestions that you may have to help improve our service so please get in touch if you have any feedback at all.
