Mumbles Pier are honoured to have Rt Hon Carwyn Jones AM to launch our very first session and will be reading to the children.

Bert Bollom owner of Mumbles Pier explains “We are excited to be holding this event and to have so much interest and support from the community.  We are grateful for some very high-profile readers giving up their time for the children of our area.  As a father I’m so aware of the importance that storytelling and reading has for children.  Not only is it a fun activity it also opens doors to all kinds of new worlds.  Plus, who doesn’t like the word FREE in January”.

Saturday and Sunday sessions run from 12pm till 4pm and Monday to Friday 4pm till 5pm.

Each story session will last around 10-15 minutes with short intervals in between.  You can stay for as MANY stories as you like.

Which world will YOU choose to visit?  Will you be an astronaut in space, or maybe a fire breathing dragon, learn about Welsh legends or maybe a Police Officer fighting crime?

We will also be running a FREE ‘Book For A Book’ stall.  Why not pass on your cherished stories to others and find a new story for yourself with our ‘Book for a Book’ stall.  Bring a book and donate it to our stall and help yourself to another.
